  In 2024, Coach Steven Binder led the Girls Varsity Basketball team to a record-breaking season—the most wins, highest total points scored, and fewest points allowed in school history. Under his leadership, the team earned its first-ever berth in the Florida High School State Tournament, advancing to the Sweet 16 and finishing ranked #16 in the state—another school milestone. It was a season of historic firsts that set a new standard for excellence at The Pine School.

• Steven has been involved with basketball for his entire life — as a player, at all levels including college, then as a AAU/Travel & as an award-winning high school coach, as well as conducting showcases & clinics for over 35 years. He trains boys & girls… beginners, youth, high school, college and professional sports players & teams. He also has been a past scout for the New York Knicks. In college, Coach Steven, aka, “The Shooter” was nationally ranked in the top ten of the NCAA for Free Throw and Field Goal percentage.
