At Project New Step Foundation, we believe that developing young people starts with building confidence, dignity, and a sense of belonging.
Sometimes, that begins with something as simple as a new pair of sneakers.
To many, sneakers are just footwear. But for a young person, they can represent much more—a feeling of being seen, valued, and included. When a child puts on a new pair of sneakers, they often carry themselves differently. They stand a little taller, participate more freely, and begin to feel like they belong.
Confidence starts from the ground up. When young people feel good about themselves, they are more willing to try, to engage, and to grow. Proper footwear also allows them to move comfortably and safely, whether in sports, school, or everyday life. It removes a barrier and gives them the freedom to focus on development rather than discomfort or self-consciousness.
For many underserved youth, something as small as worn-out shoes can quietly impact their confidence and willingness to participate. Providing new sneakers helps level the playing field and gives every child the opportunity to show up as their best self.
This is about more than shoes. It’s about creating moments that build belief. It’s about helping a young person take one step forward—physically and emotionally.
We invite you to be part of this impact. A simple act—providing a pair of sneakers—can create lasting change in a young person’s life. Your support helps us give not just footwear, but confidence, opportunity, and a stronger foundation for the future.
Together, we can help every child take that next step.
