A holiday celebration for the children of Milbank’s Saturday program
This holiday season, Project New Step Foundation is thrilled to be helping another deserving organization: Children’s Aid’s Dunlevy Milbank Community Center in Harlem, New York. We will be giving brand-new sneakers to the children of the center’s Saturday program at a special holiday event on Saturday, December 19th, 2026.
A Place Where Children Are Cared For
The Saturday program at Milbank is a warm, welcoming place built around enriching the lives of the children in this community and making sure they have what they need to learn, grow, and thrive. It is led by a dedicated team that shows up for these kids every week, and we are deeply honored to join them in this work.
More Than a Pair of Shoes
There is something special about a brand-new pair of sneakers. They help a child feel comfortable and confident, ready to run, play, and take part in everything the day brings. For a child who has been wearing worn-out shoes, a fresh pair is a reminder that they matter and that their community is cheering them on.
Our Heart and Our Mission
Project New Step Foundation exists to provide sneakers to children in need and help brighten their everyday lives and activities. Working with the Dunlevy Milbank Community Center is a joyful example of that mission in action, and it continues our recent work with schools across New York City. We are so grateful to Children’s Aid for welcoming us and to everyone whose generosity makes these moments possible.
